Now if you get to know me, you would realize fairly quickly my heart to start churches.  If fact, if you were to cut me with a knife to see what I bleed, it would be church planting.  Planting healthy churches that reproduce themselves is what stirs my heart. I believe that Jesus Christ is the only hope for this world and that the church, which is His body, brings the tangible presence of Christ into the world, wherever she is faithfully following him.

If you have just recently started a church, or are in the process of starting a church or thinking about starting a church, I want to tell you about a church planters training time that you don’t want to miss. The name of this training time is called Aggelos – meaning one who is sent, a messenger from God and it is hosted by the Ecclesia Network.

My friend Ben Sternke has articulated what he likes about this training time.  He says, "There is a great balance between theological and practical training; everyone stays in the same place (including the teachers) and there is room for a lot of informal conversation, like meals in the evening; it takes place in an ecumenical monastery where we participate in their prayer and rhythms during the day and there are many teachers, each of them practitioners, sharing their perspectives, stories and lives."  You can learn more about this training by downloading a brochure at the Ecclesia Network site.
